Uganda’s Insurance industry has been urged to partner with the media to boost product awareness and in turn increase penetration and business growth. Speaking at a cocktail organized for insurance bosses in the week ending Friday 24th 2015, New Vision publications CEO Robert Kabushenga also outlined some of the challenges facing the industry.

“Uganda currently has 2 million television sets out of a population of 35 million people. Most of these television sets are in Kampala. Before we had mobile phones with radios in them, the number of actual radio sets was believed to be around 5.6 million. When you have that kind of media structure keeping in mind our internet penetration of about 25%, it presents a challenge of being able to reach the people and influence them to do what you want them to,
