Chinese mobile device manufacturer Huawei has unveiled its strategic approach for its products in Uganda’s market. The company which has been in operation in Uganda since 2007 has also introduced its innovative wearable devices, bringing consumers a smart and limitless experience.
Addressing journalists at the company’s head office in Kampala today, Huawei Public Relations Officer Allan Kyobe said the company has in 2014 experienced a positive global brand awareness of 65 percent. This is compared to 52 percent in 2013.
“There is need to drive brand awareness in Uganda as well. Currently Huawei holds a market share of between 13 and 14 percent having sold 70,000 devices in 2014.
