Over 100 hoteliers under the Uganda Hotel Owners Association met today to share insights into the value of branding and marketing of their hotels. The event was the beginning of a four day expo scheduled to take place between the 11th and 15th of July 2016 at Hotel Africana. There will also be a two-day exhibition starting on the 12th July 2016.
The workshop began with an expo and business to business (B2B) session. The B2B aimed at linking the hotel owners with partners and service providers. The workshop, facilitated by LOGGOS+Plus, a brand design company and the Uganda Hotel Owners Association, will focused on the power of brand identity through company logos.
Caleb Owino, the Managing Director of fireworks Group said, “In the increasingly competitive hospitality industry, every brand needs an identity that sets them apart from their competition. Brand differentiation is a key element to business success. There is a reason why Sheraton can charge three times more for a soda than the next restaurant across the road. This workshop aims at educating the hotel owners about the importance of setting themselves apart and how best they can do it to drive business performance.
