Those whose licences have been suspended include;

Middle East Consultants Limited

Elite Placement Consulting

Forbes Enterprises Limited

Al-Saud Agency Limited

The Eagles Supervision Limited

In February, Members of Parliament called for better ways of managing labour export in Uganda. This follows several reports of mistreatment of Ugandans working in the Middle East.

The legislators noted that government was reluctant to manage the issue because some influential government officials own agencies and recruitment firms engaged in the trade of persons.

Ther members recommended that government signs agreements with countries that benefit from Ugandan exported labour in order to check the labour export sector.

Statistics show that 12,000 Ugandans leave for the Middle East every year in search for jobs.
