Grace Nshemeire-Gwaku has been appointed the new Chief Operating Officer at Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU).
Grace is a results-oriented business leader with extensive experience across various functions and countries. Having spent 18 years in the private sector, She has held various leadership positions some of which were at an executive level. She has collaboratively led projects across functions& countries, created growth drivers, written, and implemented annual business plans as well as strategies, partnered brilliantly with both internal and external stakeholders.
Prior to this role, Nshemeire-Gwaku was the regional head of marketing, international premium spirits, and reserve brands at East African Breweries Limited looking after Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
She has also worked with the Guinness Global team at Diageo in London where she managed brands like Guinness, Malta Guinness, Orijin across African countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Cote D’voire, and Angola.
Grace was also the marketing, innovations, and customer marketing director at Uganda Breweries Limited where she led the award-winning team that delivered fantastic campaigns, innovations and restored UBL’s market leadership. She was behind the Bell, Senator and Uganda Waragi pack renovations as well as the launch of Uganda Waragi coconut.
She started her career at Unilever Uganda Ltd where she joined as a management trainee grew to area sales manager, was posted to Unilever Kenya Ltd where she was category manager responsible for South and East African countries before she was posted to South Africa as marketing manager savoury responsible for West African markets.
She brings a wealth of experience and skills from the private sector. She is passionate about positively impacting our communities, our country and continent.
Nshemeire-Gwaku is a graduate of Makerere University and has an MBA from University of Leicester.
