Allen Ssempa, formerly with Equity Bank as Senior Marketing Officer – Communications has effective today, October 1, 2020, joined Crown Beverages Limited as the bottler’s Corporate Communications Manager.
Crown Beverages, is the Pepsi franchise bottler in Uganda for a range of carbonated soft drinks, including: Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Mirinda Fruity, Mirinda Orange, Mirinda Pineapple, Mirinda Green Apple, 7UP and Evervess Tonic. The 100% Ugandan owned company, also produces Nivana water in four variants namely; Tangerine, Strawberry, Still and Sparkling.
As Corporate Communications Manager, we understand, Allen, will be in charge of corporate brand communications, stakeholder engagements, internal communications, and Corporate Social Investments among others.
She brings to Crown Beverages, over 10 years of experience in the communications industry. She worked at the Bukoto Street based advertising agency, BrandvisionDDB as an Account Manager, for nearly four years, before moving to the Uganda Advertising Association (UAA) as the Programs Manager. She then joined Equity Bank as the Senior Marketing Officer, a role she has played for slightly over a year.
Allen, holds a degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University and is a certified digital strategist. She is currently pursuing a diploma at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK.
