Emirates Airlines will introduce its Airbus A350 aircraft on the Dubai–Entebbe route beginning March 29, marking the first time the aircraft type will operate scheduled services to Uganda.
The deployment will see flights EK729/730 between Dubai and Entebbe operated by the A350 as part of the airline’s ongoing fleet modernisation programme. The change forms part of a broader series of aircraft deployments and cabin upgrades across Emirates’ global network.
The Airbus A350 assigned to the Entebbe service will be configured in three cabin classes with a total capacity of 298 passengers. The layout includes 32 Business Class seats, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 238 Economy Class seats.
The introduction of the aircraft also brings Premium Economy to the Entebbe route. The cabin class, positioned between Business and Economy, has been gradually rolled out across Emirates’ network as part of its updated service offering.
Broader Fleet Modernisation Programme
The Entebbe deployment is taking place within a wider fleet renewal and retrofit initiative. Emirates has been upgrading existing aircraft and introducing new-generation models across multiple regions, including Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, and the Indian Ocean.
As part of this programme, the airline is completing the retrofit of its first high-density two-class Airbus A380 into a three-class configuration. The reconfigured aircraft will feature 76 Business Class seats, 56 Premium Economy seats, and 437 Economy Class seats. The first upgraded aircraft is scheduled to operate between Dubai and Amman from April 14 to May 31, before moving to Prague from June 1. Emirates expects to retrofit all 15 of its two-class A380 aircraft into the new configuration by November.
In addition to the A350 introduction to Entebbe, the airline has announced aircraft upgrades on several routes. These include the deployment of retrofitted A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Premium Economy cabins to selected destinations in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East throughout 2026.

Expansion of Premium Economy Network
Emirates has indicated that its Premium Economy network is expected to expand to 99 destinations by the end of 2026. The continued rollout is supported by both newly delivered aircraft and the retrofitted existing fleet.
The introduction of the A350 to Entebbe, therefore, aligns the route with the airline’s updated cabin offering and product standardisation across key markets.
Booking and Operations
Tickets for the upgraded service can be booked through Emirates’ website, mobile application, retail outlets, and authorised travel agents. Aircraft deployments remain subject to operational requirements, and schedules may be adjusted depending on refurbishment timelines.
With the A350 scheduled to begin operations on March 29, Entebbe will join a growing list of destinations served by Emirates’ newest aircraft type as the airline continues its fleet and product renewal programme.
