The annual East African Business Summit is set to kick off in Kigali Rwanda from 4th to 6th June 2014. Under the theme ‘Positioning East Africa for inclusive Prosperity in 2020 and beyond’, the summit aims at bringing together business leaders creating a platform where issues affecting the region will be discussed. This year, the summit will focus on issues pertaining infrastructure, managing mineral wealth for broad-based and inclusive economic development, regional labour policies and practices for efficient business and investing in Africa’s emerging entrepreneurs for inclusive prosperity.

Speaking at the launch of the summit held on 7th May 2014 in Kampala Francis Kamulegeya the Country Senior Partner at Price Water House Coopers said, “Through this summit, professional services firms in the region are helping transform the regional economy by bringing together decision makers from across the region. The government cannot always be knowledgeable about everything and the intervention by the private sector helps come up with ideas that can solve issues and drive economic growth.
