Stakeholders in the education sector have been advised to keep an open mind and embrace e-learning as it is here to stay. According to the Assistant Commissioner in charge of Primary Education Tony Mukasa, an effective teacher should be both creative and innovative to be able to handle challenges currently facing the sector.
“Exposure is one of the biggest tools teachers can use to fill the skills gap evident in the country. Tools such as e-learning which is not new in Uganda but has not been experienced by the majority of Ugandan teachers is a great opportunity to grow. Yes our electricity penetration is low, we do not have the right technology neither do we have the right internet penetration rates. If we however keep a positive attitude, we can easily adapt to such systems as they come because they are here to stay,
