Dorothy Kabagambe Ssemanda has been promoted to CEO for ATC Uganda, effective July 1, 2022, replacing Michael Magambo. She has been the Chief Finance Officer, the first Ugandan to hold the position.
ATC Uganda is a subsidiary of American Tower Corporation and the largest telecommunication infrastructure provider in Uganda
Dorothy is a Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants FCCA, holds a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, Herriot Watt University in Scotland UK and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Makerere Business School.
Dorothy started her career as an audit associate with Ernst and Young and later joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where she excelled in Audit and accounting for several multinational organisations including Banks, FMCGs, INGOs, etc. She then moved to Zain Uganda as business planning analyst working on pricing, business analysis, budgeting and forecasting and supported the due diligence and transition to Airtel Uganda.
Her career then transitioned from the mobile network operators to the Tower companies joining American Tower as a start up in Uganda. In ATC, she has held several roles including Finance Operations Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Finance Project Advisor for a start up in Tanzania, Regional Treasury Manager overseeing six countries in EMEA including Uganda, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, France and Germany and was later promoted to Chief Finance Officer where she leads the finance organisation in Uganda.
