Doreen Nyiramugisha, the outgoing Head of Marketing and Communication at PostBank Uganda Ltd has crossed over to Housing Finance Bank as the new Head of Marketing and Communications, CEO East Africa has reliably learnt.
In her new role, Doreen shall work alongside the Business to plan and develop new products and processes to deliver the bank’s customer value proposition. She will provide technical guidance on all matters relating to internal and external communications and stakeholder engagements.
She has been instrumental in the institution’s transition to a tier one commercial bank. Through stellar Brand, Marketing Communications and CSI strategies, she has led the dynamic team that has significantly grown the brand visibility of the 100% government-owned bank.
With 12 years of experience in Marketing Communications, she was recently listed amongst the top 50 Uganda’s Most Accomplished People in Marketing by Evolve Africa Group.
Before PostBank, Doreen worked as Manager, Marketing and Communications at Bank of Africa where she was in charge of marketing communication strategies to support the Bank’s business objectives and augment the Bank’s market position. She played a critical role in the brand campaigns that contributed to the UGX 20 billion net profit in 2019
Her work experience in Marketing and Communications spans a little over a decade, starting out as an Adman at fireworks Advertising where she managed key brands like Centenary Bank, NSSF, DStv, Uganda Telcom, United Bank for Africa and Uganda Insurers’ Association among others.
Doreen holds a Bachelor of International Business degree from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and a Professional Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM UK). She is also currently pursuing an MBA from the University of South Wales.
She is a passionate, tenacious and well-rounded marketer that also serves as the General Secretary of, the Uganda Marketers’ Society.
