Asteway Desta the DHL Express Uganda Country Manager has received a Silver Stevie Award in the Category of Female Executive of the Year – Business Services, with an organization size of 11 – 2500 employees. In addition, DHL Ethiopia’s Country Manager, Essete Gebriel, was awarded a Bronze Stevie Award in the same category.
The Stevie Awards are the world’s premier business awards and were created in 2002 to honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working professionals worldwide.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are open to all organizations worldwide, and recognize the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, and the organizations they run.
According to Charles Brewer, Managing Director of DHL Express Sub-Saharan Africa, this recognition highlights the caliber of talent available on the continent and most importantly within DHL Express.
