Trade, Industry and Cooperatives minister Amelia Kyambbade in consultation with UNBS National Standards Council (NSC) has appointed David Livingstone Ebiru as the 4th Executive Director of Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) effective today 11th May, 2021. While announcing the new executive director, Kyambadde tasked the standards to ensure quality of products giving an example of grain products that have been a source of contention between Kenya and Uganda due to aflatoxins.
