
Last week, two major related headlines caught my eye. One story on Monday, March 12th 2018 reported that the Inspectorate of Government (IGG) was stuck with 4,620 unresolved complaints; the other, on Wednesday, March 15th 2018 reported that the IGG had blocked the recent staff changes at Bank of Uganda.
The two headlines, which in my view mirror what is wrong with the entire anti-corruption, remind me about last year’s theme for International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD)- “Restoring Integrity in Public Service; Regaining Citizens’ Trust in the Fight against Corruption.
