Government has been urged to come up with a plan to hasten the registration of new cars in the country. Currently, it takes 3 weeks for someone buying a brand new car to fully register and get number plates. According to Cooper Motors Corporation (CMC) Country Manager Herman Mbalasi, this is an inconvenience for many customers.
“It is illegal to drive around the city in an unregistered car so once a customer buys a car from us they have to wait 3 weeks for registration. This is an inconvenience and we hope government can work toward shortening this period.
