The Chinese Business Community in Uganda led by the China Enterprises Chambers of Commerce (CECC), on Friday donated a basketball court and scholastic materials to Luyanzi College School in Bweyogerere. This was in a bid to develop education and physical growth of students.

The Chambers of Commerce donated textbooks worth Ushs 15 million and together with its member enterprises like China Communications Construction Company, Huawei, China Railway Seventh Group, China Railway No.3 Engineering Group and Hima Cement donated a basketball court.

Mr. Zheng a representative from the CECC commended the Chinese business communities for their effort of ensuring Ugandan children have better education and physical growth.

The basketball court inauguration ceremony was led by the State Minister of Sports Hon. Charles Bakkabulindi who also commended the school administration for bringing China closer to Uganda by teaching the Chinese language to Ugandan students.

“This will simplify our work as government and save time for Ugandan students who will have to first study Chinese during their scholarships in China,
