Hitesh Tanna is Managing Director of CTV Tanzania, with over 30 years of industry experience. “I founded CTV in 1992, aiming to revolutionize communication in Tanzania. My journey involves pioneering ventures and leading industry associations, contributing to CTV’s success and shaping the telecom future,” he says on LinkedIn.
With a diverse background in ventures such as Beep-Me Ltd in 1996 and Pizza Villa, preceding his role in the establishment of CTV. Mr Tanna is said to have been instrumental in leading the construction of Tanzania’s METRO Optical Fiber Infrastructure in 2002, the project significantly enhancing internet accessibility across the nation.
Currently, he holds the position of Chair at the Tanzania Association of Cable Operators (TACOL) and serves on the Executive Committee of the Tanzania Internet Services Providers Association (TISPA), where he drives membership growth and fosters collaboration among cable operators nationwide.
Away from work, Mr Tanna is a dedicated Rotary Club of Bahari Dar es Salaam member and is active in fundraising and social activities.
