Uganda’s corporate community will gather at the Four Points by Sheraton, Kampala, on October 22nd, 2025, for the Ignite Lead Summit 2025, hosted by MP3 TalentSync Solutions Ltd.
Running under the theme “Building Impactful Leaders. Driving Excellence”, the half-day summit is tailored to mid-level managers, department heads, and aspiring executives seeking to elevate their leadership capacity in an increasingly complex business environment.
A Rich and Diverse Speaker Lineup
The summit features a formidable array of leaders drawn from diverse industries—finance, insurance, human capital development, agriculture, and international development—demonstrating the breadth of experience and perspectives it offers.
The keynote address will be delivered by Mr. Geoffrey Kihuguru, the Chief Executive Officer of Pental Insurance Brokers Ltd and President of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU). A seasoned executive with over four decades of experience in financial services and corporate governance, Kihuguru brings both authority and inspiration to the summit’s discussions.
Joining him on the panel is Mr. Milton Steven Owor, the Chief People & Culture Officer at the National Social Security Fund (NSSF). With decades of experience leading human resource strategy across Africa and globally, Owor is recognised for his thought leadership in talent management, organisational transformation, and leadership development.
Ms. Annet Nakawunde, the Managing Director of Finance Trust Bank, will also share insights from her leadership journey. A strong advocate for inclusive finance, Nakawunde has dedicated her career to expanding access to financial services for low- and middle-income earners, particularly women, and has become a prominent voice for women’s empowerment in the banking sector.
The lineup further includes Mr. Francis Ogwang, the Country Manager for Uganda at the East African Development Bank. With a wealth of expertise in corporate and development finance, Ogwang has played a pivotal role in supporting investments that drive sustainable economic growth and regional development.
Rounding out the diverse speaker panel is Mr. Ssegawa Ronald Gyagenda, a retired Under Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries. Over nearly three decades of public service, he championed agricultural transformation initiatives, supervised donor-funded programs, and worked to build resilience in Uganda’s agricultural sector.
Guiding the conversations will be Monica Sanyu, CEO of MP3 TalentSync Solutions Ltd, a seasoned HR executive and Positive Change Coach with extensive board-level and HR transformation experience. She will lead discussions on agility in leadership, emotional intelligence, team collaboration, and responsible adoption of AI to strengthen human-centred leadership.
