Bob-Paul Lusembo has been appointed as BRAC Uganda Bank’s Head of Business Growth, effective May 2024. 

Mr. Lusembo who describes himself as an “ambitious and seasoned sales professional with the ability to develop sales potential in new market areas” was previously the Head of Savings & e-Business at Pride Microfinance.

He holds nearly 20 years of financial services experience across major banking brands such as dfcu Bank, Absa Bank Uganda, Diamond Trust Bank and Pride Microfinance.

“I am looking forward to providing a range of financial services responsibly to people at the base of the pyramid in Uganda,” he commented on his LinkedIn page about his latest assignment.

BRAC Uganda Bank is a Tier 2 Credit Institution and a subsidiary of BRAC Uganda.

BRAC Uganda is part of BRAC International⏤ a multi-country nonprofit organisation whose mission is to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy, disease, and social injustice.

The nonprofit achieves its mission through six programmes, namely: health, education, ultra-poor graduation, emergency preparedness and response, empowerment and livelihood for adolescents, as well as financial inclusion.

The financial inclusion programme is executed through BRAC Uganda Bank. The financial institution, according to its website, as of March 2023, had 390,000 savers and 161,000 borrowers and a credit portfolio of USD116.6 million.
