ALTX East Africa has unveiled its new stock exchange trading system. This automated system is the first of its kind in the region with a multi-assets platform in terms of bonds, derivatives, funds among others and a multi-currency securities trading.
Speaking at a press briefing held on 28th June 2016 at their offices in Kampala, ALTX Chief Executive Officer Joseph Kitamirike said, “This market does everything for you. ALTX is the first exchange to offer trading and settlement within one day in East Africa with the ability to handle 150,000 transactions per second.
