While oil and gas production is fairly new in the East African region, there is clear excitement as some of the largest independent and international oil companies rush to invest. According to the President DHL Express Energy sector Steve Harley, while West African countries like Angola and Nigeria have always been the most notable producers within the Sub-Saharan region, more recently, significant gas discoveries in Tanzania and Mozambique have led East Africa to receive its fair share of attention from potential investors.
