Rift Valley Railways (RVR) the concessionaires of the Kenya Uganda Railway has adopted Translogic management system into its operations. The system allows RVR to automatically track client cargo, its locomotives and other railway assets and is expected to significantly improve the company’s business and commercial processes.
In a press release sent to the CEO Magazine RVR’s General Manager Western Mark Runyamika said, “We are introducing this system in order to improve our service delivery and reduce inefficiencies through the use of technology. Automation of our rail management processes is key to us turning around the business which has shown tremendous improvement since we started the rollout of our five year 287 million dollar transformation program in 2012.
