Motorists and other fuel consumers will be more assured of quality uncontaminated fuels following the introduction of a mobile fuel testing laboratory by shell licensee Vivo Energy. The lab will collect samples randomly from Shell retail outlets and conduct basic quality tests on site while also returning samples to the main laboratory at the depot in Kampala for further analysis where issues are detected.
Addressing industry stakeholders and the media at the launch of the laboratory held on 19th March 2014 in Kampala Vivo Energy MD Hans Paulsen said, “The quality of our products is tested at various points throughout the supply chain. That said, we are constantly working at giving our customers the very best products therefore protecting quality is a priority for us. The mobile lab will not only help guarantee the quality of the products but also reaffirm the message that we care about our customers deeply.
