Prof Samuel Sejjaaka has been appointed the new board chairman of monitor publications limited, one of Uganda’s leading news dailies with effect from 1st February 2022.
Prof Sejjaaka has built a reputable career over the years both in the academic and business world. He has a vast experience as a financial consultant spanning over twenty five years.
A fellow of the association of chattered accountants and a certified public accountant of Uganda, Samuel is the principal and principal owner of Mat Abacus, a premier training institute of professional accountants in Uganda. Before he retired from active teaching, Prof Sejjaaka served as the Deputy Principal of the Makerere University Business School and Associate Professor in accounting and finance. He also served as a financial consultant and auditor both in public and private organisations.
He is a senior partner at one of the distinguished accounting firms in Uganda called Sejjaaka, Kaawaase and Co. Certified Public Accountants.

Prof Sejjaaka went to Kings College Budo before joining Makerere University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce and later a Post-graduate Diploma in computer Science. He later pursued a Master of Science in Financial Studies from the University of Strathclyde. He holds a PhD in Accounting from Makerere University.
