Former Airtel Uganda managing director Somasekhar VG has been appointed advisor to FinTech and Mobility startup Ohm Mobility

Nair credits Somasekhar VG for growing Airtel across revenues, profits and customer base, expanding customer base from 2.5M to 11M, propelling revenues and turnaround of an EBITDA negative telecom business to a most profitable unit in Airtel Africa.

VG Somasekhar has resigned his position as Airtel Uganda’s Managing Director in March last year, a move that took many by surprise.
