The National Social Security Fund, in partnership with Kampala Hash House Harriers, has today handed over Shs131 million raised during this year’s NSSF Kampala Hash 7 Hills Run to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) for the renovation of structures in selected public primary schools.

 

Proceeds from this year’s run are going towards the renovation of Makerere primary school, Summit View army Primary and completion of works at Nakivubo Settlement School.

 

During the handover of the proceeds today at Nakivubo Settlement, NSSF Managing Director, Richard Byarugaba, said that the Fund  chose to support KCCA because of the appalling conditions at most of their schools.

 

“The NSSF Kampala Hash 7 Hills Run is a vehicle through which we will progressively raise funds to improve learning conditions in public schools. So far, Nakivubo Settlement primary school and St. Ponsiano Kyamula primary school have benefited from this initiative. With this year’s proceeds, more schools will be renovated,
