On Saturday 19th September 2015, hundreds of youth and entrepreneurs from across the East African region gathered at the Kampala Parents School auditorium for the 6th edition of the Pakasa Forum. Organized by the Vision Group and themed ‘How the young can build the success they want’, the forum gives young people a chance to meet mentors to share and learn from their experiences in business.
In addition to having the forum regularly, Vision Group launched the Pakasa Youth Awards competition which will begin on 2nd October. The awards target entrepreneurs between the ages of 15 and 30 doing business anywhere in Uganda. The competition will constitute a nationwide search of young entrepreneurs from 10 different regions in the country.
“We will then publish their profiles across our platforms and invite the public to nominate the best entrepreneurs. A panel of judges will then sit and pick the 10 winners who will get the chance to fly to South Korea in May next year to tour leading technology companies LG and Samsung,
