Uganda is set to showcase projects in infrastructure, agriculture and natural resources at The Global African Investment Summit (TGAIS) in London on 20th and 21st October. This is in a bid to attract investors to finance key projects in the country including the 77.1 kilometer Kampala –Jinja Road among others. The summit which will be chaired by former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo seeks to direct funds from some of the world’s largest institutional investors into projects across five nations. These include Uganda, Ghana, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Togo.
In a release seen by the CEO Magazine, TGAIS Event Director Paul Sinclair said, “The Global African Investment Summit will see government delegations from Africa present bankable investment opportunities to an audience of institutional investors, fund managers, PE firms and large corporations. By focusing on these projects we believe that we will trigger deal making and spur investment partnerships, enabling job creation, technology transfer and economic growth.
