The private sector, the biggest contributor to the GDP of Uganda needs to continue engaging in activities that will help boost the country’s economic performance and growth. In line with this logistics company DHL Express has reaffirmed its commitment to Uganda by investing 3 million Euros in a new facility based in Kololo a Kampala suburb. The facility which once done will be made up of offices, warehouses as well as rental apartments is expected to be world class in terms of technology, infrastructure and use of green technology.
Addressing the media at the site on Thursday 5th June 2014, DHL Uganda Managing Director Asteway Zesta explained the company needs to have safe and efficient processing of material and capacity to respond quicker to market growth.

Unlike our current facility, our couriers will now be able to drive in, load their shipment and take it out for delivery reducing delivery time exponentially.
