Peace Kabunga is the Executive Director at Housing Finance Bank. She has held the position since 2018.
At the same time, she is Head Mortgage & Finance Development, holding the position since 2017.
Here, she is supposed to provide strategic and tactical direction to the Mortgage and Development Finance department to drive business growth, lead customer relationship management to enhance customer experience, manage credit risk as well as performance and development of the department employees.
Before joining Housing Finance, Peace was Head Workplace Banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda from 2013 to 2017
Here, she was charged with leading a team of relationship managers to attract, grow and retain business in the personal banking space through partnerships with corporate Organizations, government bodies, NGos among others while offering personal solutions to the employees ranging from transactional accounts, lending solutions, saving and investment solutions and customer education through the financial wellness program.
From 2008 to 2013, Peace held the position of Head Barclays at work, Head Mortgages at Barclays Bank Uganda, leading a team of relationship managers to acquire, grow, and retain customers in the salaried market by offering tailor made solutions-transactional accounts, lending, savings and investments.

She was Sales Manager Mortgages at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda from 2007 to 2008, enabling customers acquire homes through mortgage financing or use existing residential houses to free up capital and venture into other areas of interest.

Kabunga is a professional accountant with a working experience of 15 years spanning an extensive career path in sales and relationship management, credit and Finance.
She has practical knowledge and experience in the field of financial analysis, credit/loan management specifically mortgages, term loans, vehicle and asset finance and unsecured salary loans, sales and client relationship management in different local and international financial institutions based in Uganda.
“Overall I have sound knowledge and experience of credit risk management, sales and relationship management practices, leadership skills to drive high performing teams and build employee capability to drive productivity,” she says.
Peace holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Management from Amity University, India, a Bachelor of Statistics (MUK) and ACCA.
He has also attended the Women in Leadership Program by Strathmore Business School and currently on the CEO Apprenticeship program by Strathmore Business School, a program running for one year till December 2018.
