Vaolah Amumpaire is the Founder & CEO of Wenahardware.com, a one stop virtual store for construction solutions: materials, professionals, and construction financing.
She is a professional Marketer from Chartered Institute of marketing (Level 6), holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from Makerere University Business School and a post graduate diploma in Psychology of Sales and Digital Marketing from Shaw Academy, Dublin.
Other certifications to her name include; Digital Skills for Africa, from Google, Inbound Sales by LinkedIn and Essentials in Corporate Finance by Wave.Inc
Amumpaire has served in various capacities with Media Research Foundation of Uganda, Uganda Advertising Association, Fireworks Advertising and Century Bottling Company, where her marketing career started.
Following the troubling stories of Ugandans living and working abroad being cheated by friends and family, whom they send money to help purchase construction materials, Amumpaire thought of a solution that would enable them to buy all their construction materials conveniently, and have them delivered to their construction sites, hence the birth of Wenahardware.com.
Besides Wena store, shoppers have a wallet (Wena Wallet) that enables them to make partial payments for items which earns them an interest too.
Wena now serves both Ugandans within the country and those stationed in various countries abroad but are building in Uganda.
Amumpaire is a YALI Entrepreneur. She has been recognized for her Impactful innovation, including Top40Under40, 2018 nomination.
Wenahardware.com has been nominated for various awards and most recently, it earned recognition from Berlin, Germany as an outstanding innovation. Wena is the winner of African Women in Tech 2020.
