Immaculate Irumba Komuhangi is the Chief Operations Officer at Cairo Bank Uganda a position she has held since March 2019. Immaculate is responsible for among other aspects driving strategic leadership to the operations department of the bank as well as establishing operational excellence.
Prior to joining Cairo Bank Uganda, she worked at Housing Finance Bank Uganda for 10 years where she sharpened her banking edge growing through the ranks from a Branch Manager to Senior Manager Projects Management. Her greatest achievement was the spear head of the implementation of the bank’s digital transformation agenda. Immaculate started her banking career at Stanbic Bank Uganda where she worked in different capacities for 5 years raising through the ranks to the position of Branch Manager.
Immaculate is a seasoned banker with 17 years’ experience of demonstrated knowledge in Retail banking, Bank operations, and Business technology with proficiency in system requirement definition. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with ITIL certification. Immaculate holds a Masters of Economic Policy and Planning and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics of Makerere University. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance Management of Uganda Management Institute.
Immaculate is passionate about growing and inspiring young talent through mentorship. She is a member of the Project Management Institute and the Institute of Corporate governance of Uganda. She is married with three children.
